DRIVE TO GREENVILLE AND POINTS NORTHWARD

                                    North Texas Section  6.4.21

On Saturday, June 6, the day began with scattered rain and drizzle, but it did not stop members of MBCA, NTX from participating in a planned drive with a poker run.  Twelve cars met at Buc-ee’s on I30 in Royce City to participate in a drive to Greenville, TX and points northward.  The first stop was at the Audie Murphy Military and Cotton Museum in Greenville where members were joined by two more cars to make a total of fourteen cars and twenty members and spouses.  After a two-hour tour of the museum, the sun was out and the group traveled northward through Wolfe City to Ladonia under cloudy but pretty skies.  Bug Tussle, TX was next on the itinerary.  In Bug Tussle, everyone had a photo op at the one building in Bug Tussle.  The next stop was Honey Grove, TX where several lovely old historic homes and buildings were seen.  Lunch was held at El Malcojete Mexican Restaurant where a 50/50 raffle was held and prizes for the poker run were awarded.  The group then traveled on to Bonham for a quick drive around the square and Fort Inglish where “So Long” was said.  Everyone then headed for home.  All in all, it was a good drive and a great opportunity to enjoy our Mercedes-Benz cars with good weather and lots of fellowship and food.  Thanks to Robert and Gayle Brewer for planning this great outing.
