NTX Bluebonnet Drive

It is Bluebonnet time in Texas and Carol and Kent VanMeter put together a great drive starting at Buc-ee’s in Ennis, Texas. Ennis has the reputation as one of the best places in the state for viewing these beautiful wildflowers and we were not disappointed. Acres of blue were everywhere and stopping for pictures was a must. Twenty-eight members of our section with fifteen cars made up our group, after the drive we had lunch at the Sugar Ridge Winery. The weather was perfect with mild temperatures and lots of sunshine. This was our second year with Kent and Carol planning our drive. It was a great drive, let’s do it again next April. Spring is a good time to be in Texas and viewing the Bluebonnet’s is special.
