The North Texas Section participated in The Second Annual Farmers Branch Classic Car Show. The weather for the day was cooler than normal but the event was well-attended. The show was held at the Farmers Branch Historic Park and there were over 100 cars registered but due to the weather roughly 60 showed for the event. The North Texas Section had 13 cars in the show and four of the cars were winners in the following categories.
Best Original Vintage Car – 1972 Mercedes 350 SL -- Kevin Brand
Most Beautiful Roadster – 1960 Mercedes 190 SL – Lee Rogers
Most Beautiful Coupe -- 1968 Mercedes SEC – Wally Wheeler
Best Convertible – 1969 Mercedes 280 SL – Bill Koch
It was a good day for our group even with the cool weather. Congratulations to the winners.
